If you try too hard to set goals, the action of setting them becomes a goal itself.
As agents we’ve been born and raised in an environment that welcomes interruption. Whatever is standing the closest to us or whoever is screaming the loudest usually gets our attention and ultimately distracts us from “that thing we were trying to get done.”
Wouldn’t it be amazing if there was a way where you thrive in that environment and still stay the course? Then you probably need to take a look at the goals you’re setting and reexamine their value.
